BIM strategy: The beginning of data-driven operation

Mivel a BIM meghonosítása a vállalatok számára számos kihívással jár, a bevezetésben, napi alkalmazásban is komoly ellenállást vált ki szervezetben, a megfelelő kompetencia hiánya pedig akadályozhatja a stratégia kialakítását és annak hatékony végrehajtását.
Egy hagyományos stratégiaalkotás során a megrendelő rendelkezik a stratégia kialakításához szűkséges alapvető ismeretekkel. A BIM újdonság-jellegéből fakadóan azonban ez a helyzet sok esetben nem áll fenn. A BIM keretrendszer összetettsége miatt a megrendelőnek meg kell ismernie azokat a szabványokban rögzített követelményspecifikációs módszertanokat (pl. AIR,OIR, PIR, EIR, BEP), amelyek meghatározzák a folyamatok alapjait. Különböző vállalatok esetében eltérő lehet, hogy mely követelményspecifikációk a legfontosabbak, ezért a stratégiaalkotás hatékonysága érdekében elengedhetetlen, hogy a megrendelő rendelkezzen alapvető ismeretekkel ezekről.

In the long term, BIM delivers the most value when it operates not in isolation, but at an organizational level, guided by unified regulations and processes. A BIM strategy ensures that different projects, teams, and partners follow the same information standards, CDE processes, and roles, so that the acquired knowledge and data assets are accumulated rather than fragmented.
A BIM strategy typically includes:
– a BIM GAP analysis of the organization's current situation,
– the definition of goals and tools related to the implementation,
– development tasks related to process and documentation systems, and relevant training,
– an information regulatory framework (OIR, AIR, EIR, BEP),
– management system compliance and a decision-support structure,
– as well as a roadmap for gradual implementation and development.
A BIM GAP analysis reveals where the organization currently stands on the BIM maturity scale and what discrepancies exist compared to international standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and market expectations. This provides an objective basis for setting realistic goals and determining effective development steps.
This depends on the organization's size, project portfolio, and current digital maturity. Strategy creation can be a relatively short process, but full implementation typically takes place in multiple stages over months or years. It is important that progress is continuous and every step is linked to measurable results.
